Do you know when your support ends? Whether you are running EnterpriseOne or World, Oracle (and TeamCain) still have you covered.

Those who are running on the latest 9.0 and 9.1 releases of EnterpriseOne do have the luxury of extended support dates that are quite some time off. But with older releases, even if you are keeping up on the tools releases, odds are there are real opportunities to revamp your business processes, so an upgrade project should be treated as a great time to improve your business.
Oracle JD Edwards World
When it comes to upgrading, JDE World users have the task of deciding, (a) do we upgrade to the latest version of World or (b) do we migrate over to EnterpriseOne? One reason to stay on World is to keep current with Oracle’s Premier and Extended Support dates. A9.2 and A9.3 have extended support running for at least another 3 years. If you are running an older version of World, moving to the latest release does have its advantages on top of longer support dates.
If you are thinking about upgrading, the project would go a lot smoother if you purged your older data. You likely need to clear out some of the old and cluttering data from your system, and the Purge-it! solution would be a great one to choose for this. In EnterpriseOne, it gives you access to your archived data directly from production, works within JDE directly, and is surprisingly easy to install and implement.
