Since we were founded in 1996, we have served hundreds of customers spanning most industries on multiple continents. While we travel all over, it’s nice to come home from time to time. Our head office is located alongside the Otonabee River in beautiful Peterborough, Ontario. As I write this blog entry, the leaves are becoming a bit redder on the trees across the river highlighting that soon it will be winter. And with the snow and winter winds comes hockey.

Hockey is a big deal in our community. Peterborough is not just known for being home of the famous Lift Locks, the highest hydraulic lift lock in the world, but also home of the Peterborough Petes, a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League. The team has played in Peterborough since 1956, and is the oldest continuously operating team in the league. There have been many Petes to have gone to play for the NHL including Wayne Gretzky, Steve Yzerman, Eric Staal and Jordan Staal. Hoping to join these great players are the boys from The Peterborough Nationals Major Atom AE hockey league. They recently hosted a golf tournament where we were lucky enough to be asked to sponsor a hole. The son of our Finance & Administrative Associate, Marnie Wakefield, plays on the team... Go Justin!

The golf tournament took place on a lovely sunny Saturday in September at the Quarry Golf Club, just 30 minutes outside of Peterborough. TeamCain sponsored the 2nd hole and while nobody got a hole-in-one on our hole, the event raised over $4500. TeamCain would just like to say thank you for letting us be a part of this great community event and we are wishing all the best of luck to the boys in this upcoming season!
