During the recent ECRUG conference in Toronto attendees were invited to fill out a form for carbon offsetting stating the size of vehicle they drive and the kilometres (including return) for their day at the conference.  According to the registration form the attendees travelled at total of 11,591 kilometres.  This number was then converted into tonnes of Carbon Dioxide used according to the size of vehicle.  The total number of tonnes of CO2e that was used is 4.46.

In order to offset TeamCain related business travel for Q1 2010 TeamCain purchased carbon offsets through Less.ca and Offsetters.ca.  The total tonnes of carbon offsets purchased through Less were 12.74 tonnes of CO2e and through Offsetters we purchased 8 total tonnes of Golda Standard VER’s.
