How Long Does a Purge Project Take?

Authored by Alana Smith, TeamCain

It is the age old question that has plagued IT crowds for many decades. Well, maybe not decades per se... And I guess the item that has plagued IT crowds is when they have to ask “Did you try turning it on and off again?” Nonetheless, this is the subject that can add some worry to an already swamped IT employee. The fear is that a purge project is a neverending project and that the initial purge of the years of data will take forever. This really isn’t the case.

As per an Oracle blog, “the Accreditation program series is designed to help Oracle customers increase their expertise with My Oracle Support core functions and build their skills to better leverage product solutions, tools and knowledge.” In other words, the Accreditation program is there to give you a boost with your EnterpriseOne projects and diagnosing issues. A warehouse manager’s objectives include increasing inventory and shipping accuracy, worker productivity, and supply chain visibility while at the same time decreasing inventory levels and costs, incorrect and lost orders, labor and data entry costs and risk and liability. On a webinar we co-hosted with our partner, RF-SMART, we explored how a warehouse manager can achieve their objectives with three levels of supply chain efficiency.

Check out the videos below...

To EnterpriseOne or Not to EnterpriseOne, that is the Question

Authored by Alana Smith, TeamCain

For EnterpriseOne users looking to upgrade, they have the option of going to a new version (or another ERP but who would want to do that!). For JDE World users, they have the task of deciding, (a) do we upgrade to the latest version of World or (b) do we migrate over to EnterpriseOne? On a recent Oracle World Upgrade call, a current World customer told their tale about staying with World. Here are some great points that they made that all World users should consider when upgrading.
